We conceptualized the #mistubishigiving campaign as a way to grow Thunder Bay Mitsubishi’s Facebook page, but it grew into so much more than that.
Each Thanksgiving season, Thunder Bay Mitsubishi commits to donating 1 turkey to a charitable organization for every 50 Facebook page likes. Since we launched #mitsubishigiving in 2015, Thunder Bay Mitsubishi has proudly donated 35 turkeys (that’s 1750 new page likes) as well as $3,500 in monetary gifts.
Campaign messaging is entirely social media driven, including wall images, sponsored posts, and video wrapping up the campaign with a heartwarming donation drop-off in a new Mitsubishi vehicle. This campaign is a triple whammy: (1) we contributing to the support of our community, (2) we successfully position Thunder Bay Mitsubishi as one of the community’s most philanthropic car dealerships, (3) and we grow their online presence and positive brand sentiment.
