In Good Hands is Ontario’s trusted authority in food handling certification. With nearly two decades of use, their existing online training platform had become outdated and was no longer aligned with modern web standards or evolving provincial certification requirements.

With the legislation passed, all food handlers in restaurants and service agencies that provide food services would be required to undergo full food safety handling training. The In Good Hands website and web-based app, which had dated infrastructure, would no longer support the online traffic.

The original system was nearly 20 years old and in need of a complete overhaul. It required updated functionality, a mobile-friendly design, and an improved student experience. Additionally, In Good Hands needed a way to streamline exam delivery and administration while scaling to meet growing demand.

The site and application required focus group consultations and user testing, considerable user interface design, research into competitors, development, content development and writing, programming, considerable project management, proctoring, comprehensive SEO to catapult sales (successful) and a comprehensive marketing strategy comprised of social and digital that followed which has proven to be very successful as well.
