Our Work
Thunder Bay Truck Centre
Overview
Thunder Bay Truck Centre, established in 1977, is one of Canada’s longest-running Peterbilt dealerships. Since expanding into its Thunder Bay facility in 1979 with thirteen service bays, the company has grown into a premier group of heavy truck dealerships and service centres serving Northwestern Ontario. They operate full-service locations in Thunder Bay, Fort Frances, Dryden, and Longlac, proudly offering sales of new and used Peterbilt trucks and Manac trailers, along with leasing, financing, parts, service, and repairs.
A family-owned and community-minded business, Thunder Bay Truck Centre is committed to “building relationships with purpose, passion and pride.” They support a range of local organisations and events, including the Ronald McDonald House, local health foundations, youth sports, and the annual Dirt Track Nationals – a highlight among motorsport events in the region.
The Challenge
Thunder Bay Truck Centre lacked consistent, professional social media content and struggled with an old website that was dated and lacked traffic and engagement.
So in 2021, Thunder Bay Truck Centre (TBTC) hired Shout Media to create more awareness about their business in a digital environment, build a new website that offered more features and content and start a social media presence that would continue to grow to highlight new trucks, services, products, staff, career opportunities and social responsibility through fundraisers and events that TBTC supports.
The Approach
Shout Media started with a full customer journey audit of all the digital media that TBTC had including Google search rankings and keywords, Google ads, Meta, LinkedIn, website and SEO. During that audit Shout found the following:
- Outdated branding
- Underperforming website
- Limited online visibility
- Lack of engagement with any of the platforms
Shout stepped in and worked with TBTC to develop the following:
- Website design and branding
- Full website development that was compliant, accessible and mobile with enhanced content and product and service page.
- Enhanced SEO
- Backlink building
- Google My Business Page optimization
- Ad strategy
- Showcasing corporate culture
- Engaging content creation
